JOSH KOCHER

With two decades of unwavering dedication to justice, Joshua Kocher has served Hamilton County as a prosecutor since 2006. Currently the Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, Josh has worked alongside Prosecutor Greg Garrison to manage every aspect of the office, earning Greg’s endorsement and support as Chairman of his campaign.

A proud Hoosier, Josh grew up on the north side of Indianapolis, attended North Central High School, and earned both his undergraduate degree from Indiana University and his law degree from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law. His passion for prosecution began during internships with the Hamilton County and Marion County Prosecutor’s Offices, shaping a career defined by commitment to community safety and justice.

Josh and his wife, Carol, also an attorney, live in Carmel with their two daughters, who attend local public schools. Beyond the courtroom, Josh is deeply involved in the community—coaching Carmel Dad’s Club sports, participating in the Carmel Lions Club and Noblesville Elks Lodge, and serving as Treasurer for the Hamilton County Bar Association. He has also represented Hamilton County as a Republican Delegate to the State Convention and served in leadership roles as a Precinct and Vice Precinct Committeeman.
